Pro Kids Golf Academy

Established in 1994, The Pro Kids Golf Academy & Learning Center's mission is to provide a safe, healthy and positive environment where children can spend their free time learning and playing golf. The Pro Kids Golf program helps combat juvenile delinquency by providing students an opportunity to learn new lifetime skills and be initiated into the strong value system of honesty and integrity that is an important part of the game of golf.

Located in the City Heights area of San Diego, California, Pro Kids utilizes the eighteen-hole par-three Colina Park Golf Course and Club House. We are believed to be one of the very few non profit organizations in the U.S. operating a golf course facility expressly developed for youth.

Several instructional and recreational programs are offered year round by Pro Kids at the Colina Park Golf Course including:

Free golf lessons to any interested child
Weekday instructional programs with middle and high schools
Educational Center for homework, tutoring and computer literacy
Tournaments for ages 7-17
Educational and recreational field trips
Scholarships
Participation by the children in community service projects

Pro Kids has received several awards and honors in its brief history, including:

PGA Tour's 1995 Charity of the Year
First-ever host of a golf day in association with the national Inner-City Games
SCGA sanctioned, allowing the students to post their scores and have an official handicap

Pro Kids Golf Academy & Learning Center is a tax exempt organization funded through public and private donations of cash, equipment and materials. Among the supporters of Pro Kids Golf are the Callaway Golf Company Foundation, USGA, the PGA Tour, PGA, City of an Diego, Golf Course Superintendents Assoc., Hunter Irrigation, Cobra Golf, The Cummings Foundation, California Turf, Miller and Schroeder, Pillsbury Madison & Sutro LLP, American Golf Corp., Ashworth, Ford Motor Credit Corp. Lincoln Mercury Dealers Assn. of San Diego, Junior Seau Foundation, Century Club, Optimist, Jacobson, J.C. Resorts and many individuals.

Join the Pro Kid's Golf Academy & Learning "Center Country Club" Program
Your membership fee will enable San Diego children, particularly inner city children, with the opportunity to get off the streets…and onto the greens.

Donate directly to the Scholarship Program which awards $ 1,500.00 to two high school college bound seniors annually.

Support our Annual PRO-AM Charity Golf Tournament held at Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Course in San Diego every June.
