National Minority Golf Foundation BACKGROUND Founded in 1995, the NMGF evolved from the Golf Symposium, a series of annual meetings convened from t 992 to 1995 to focus attention on the status of minorities in golf. As a non-profit advocacy and resource center, the National Minority Golf Foundation (NMGF) promotes increased minority participation in the game and the business of golf. It offers information and assistance on golf-related programs, projects, internships, employment opportunities as well as junior and collegiate golf and business opportunities. OFFICERS AND STAFF
VISION STATEMENT The benefits of golf should be accessible to everyone, including members of minority groups who have not generally been regarded as a part of the traditional golf constituency.
MISSION STATEMENT To impact positively the golf world by developing and supporting programs that create and promote opportunities for all minorities in all aspects of golf.
