Hampton Roads Golf Association, Inc.

The Hampton Roads Golf Association, Inc. is planning for another successful year beginning in March of 1999. Last year was the second year of operation and our tournament drew over one-hundred and twenty-five (125) golfers from up and down the East Coast. Also, our Hackers Tour which is an organized group of outings in which we play a different golf courses each month was very successful averaging our fifty(50) golfers per outing. More importantly, our youth projects brought praises and letters of thanks from around the Hampton Roads community. Specfically, the Association ran a very effective Youth Golf Academy serve fifty- five(55) young golfers. In addition, we participated in a project with the Family Golf Center in our area introducing the game to over five-hundred (500) inner city youth. We believe that our organization is growing and making an impact in the African American Community. We hope that one day you will feature our organization in your publication.

The Hampton Roads Golf Association,Inc. will hosted its Third Annual Golf Tournament June 26,1999, the 2000 event to be announced.

Location:Chesapeake Golf Club in Chesapeake, Virginia.

The format is usually metal play.

Come to Hampton Roads, Virginia and test your skills against some of Virginia and North Carolina's most talented amateur golfers. Prizes and trophies are always awarded.
