The women of excellence doll collections idea was born in Moreno Valley California from the living room of one of the most interesting people I know. I became involved in the project around 1994. Through her guidance and patience the original doll UHURA which is (Swahili meaning freedom) has taken on many new faces including graduation, angels and has grown dreads and braids. The Uhura doll has been distributed throughout the United States and abroad. This doll is dressed with loving hands and is given a special blessing before shipment so that when she enter your home you to will blessed.
